The short version

Be thoughtful about what you share and who you invite. You control your content, participants can save shared photos, and real-world arrangements remain your responsibility.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the OurWay service, provided by Artem Lavrentiev, Ukraine. Contact support@our-way.app for support, safety reports or questions. Read these terms together with our Privacy Policy.

For the iPhone app distributed through Apple, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the application licence unless a separate custom licence is supplied through the App Store. These service terms do not remove rights granted under that licence or mandatory consumer law. Apple is not the operator of OurWay’s event service.

2. Accounts and guest access

You must have the legal capacity or consent required to use the service where you live. Keep access to your device and sign-in secure and provide a name you are entitled to use. A guest account can be created without an email and password. Optional Sign in with Apple can link supported guest access to a persistent identity.

Do not impersonate others, use someone else’s account or bypass access restrictions. Anonymous guest credentials are not a guarantee of recoverability: losing device access can mean losing access to an unlinked account. Account linking does not promise automatic merging of all previously separate guest accounts.

3. Plans, invitations and participation

OurWay helps you organise events, share invitations, confirm participation and keep event details together. Organisers control event plans and closure. Guests can use the collaborative features made available to them; they do not receive organiser controls merely by accepting an invitation.

Send invitations only to people you intend to invite and are entitled to contact. Anyone you give a valid invitation link to may be able to use its invitation flow; avoid publishing private links. A confirmation in OurWay is not a ticket, identity verification, booking or guarantee of attendance.

You are responsible for checking the date, venue, route and other arrangements. We do not organise, supervise or guarantee the safety of the real-world event. App Clip access depends on Apple’s availability, configuration, device compatibility and the installed release.

4. Messages, photos, notes and highlights

You retain your rights in content you provide. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, transmit, display and process that content to operate OurWay, provide the features you request and handle safety or legal concerns. This permission is not a right to sell your photos for advertising.

Only share content you own or have permission to share. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate permission from people whose personal information or images you include.

Photos added to an online event are shared with its participants. Participants may save copies to their devices. Notes and highlights also form part of the shared collection. Removing an account or item cannot recall copies already saved elsewhere.

When an organiser closes an event, its shared collection becomes read-only. Event or account deletion can remove shared materials for everyone, so save anything you wish to keep independently.

5. Shared expenses

The expense feature records amounts, currencies, payers and participant shares to help people understand a split. Receipt reading, where available, can make mistakes; check extracted figures. Receipt images may remain local rather than synchronising with the shared expense record.

OurWay does not transfer money, hold funds, verify payments, collect debts or provide accounting, tax or financial advice. Participants are responsible for agreeing amounts and settling payments separately.

6. Reminders and external services

Notifications require appropriate device permission, app preferences and a working delivery path. Timing is not guaranteed: connectivity, system settings, Focus modes and service availability can affect delivery. Verify important plans in the event itself.

Routes, messaging apps used to send invitations, Apple sign-in and other external services operate under their own terms. A route is a convenience, not a guarantee that a location is correct, accessible or safe.

7. Community rules

Do not use OurWay to:

  • Threaten, harass, bully, exploit or discriminate against people.
  • Share illegal material, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate images or content that infringes others’ rights.
  • Post spam, scams, deceptive invitations, malware or abusive content.
  • Disclose someone’s private information without permission or a lawful basis.
  • Interfere with the service, bypass security, scrape private event information or evade a block or access restriction.

Use shared spaces respectfully. An invitation does not authorise unwanted contact outside the event.

8. Reporting and blocking

In chat, press and hold another participant’s message to report it or block its author. Blocking hides your messages from each other across event chats and stops related chat notifications. You can manage your own blocks in the chat’s blocked-users list. Blocking does not remove either person from the event or hide shared photos and other event materials.

Use the report action on a shared photo to submit a photo complaint, including from a memory. For other content or a problem you cannot report in the app, email support@our-way.app with enough information to locate it. Do not redistribute illegal content when making a report. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service.

Reports are submitted for review; a report does not automatically establish a violation. We may investigate, hide or remove content and restrict service access where appropriate to address a violation or legal requirement. You can contact support to ask for review of a moderation decision. Automated handling of every report is not promised.

9. Leaving and deletion

As a guest, you can use “I can’t attend” to withdraw from an active event; the organiser sees your refusal and the event leaves your active lists. Organisers can delete shared photos and notes, including guest contributions; guests can delete their own supported contributions. You can stop using OurWay and request account deletion through Settings. Deletion is consequential: events you organise and associated shared materials may be removed for all participants. Supported Apple-linked deletion may require Apple authentication again.

Uninstalling the app alone does not delete online data. The Privacy Policy explains deletion and the limits concerning retained records, caches and copies saved by other people. We may restrict access to protect users or comply with law, with notice where appropriate.

10. Availability and responsibility

OurWay may change as it develops, and features may differ between the full app, App Clip and releases. Temporary interruptions, errors and loss of connectivity can occur. Keep independent copies of important information and do not use the service as your only means of communicating urgent changes.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any warranty or liability limitations in the applicable app licence apply only to the extent permitted by law. Your mandatory local rights remain in force.

11. Subscriptions and free trials

OurWay Pro is an auto-renewable subscription with weekly and annual plans. The current US prices are $3.99 per week and $24.99 per year. Local prices, currency and any applicable taxes are shown in the paywall and Apple’s purchase confirmation; review that confirmation before subscribing.

The annual plan offers a three-day free trial to eligible customers when shown at purchase. Eligibility is determined through the App Store; a trial is not guaranteed to every account or on every purchase. The weekly plan has no free trial. Unless you cancel in time, the annual trial converts to the paid annual plan at the displayed annual price.

Pro access is available during an active eligible trial or paid subscription. The full app currently allows one event to be created free of charge. Creating additional events, editing plans (including the first event), opening individual memories and adding photos or notes require Pro. You can browse the memories screen without subscribing. The paywall and app identify the features available in your version; a subscription does not grant organiser permissions in someone else’s event.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a paid purchase, or when an eligible trial converts to a paid subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple may charge for renewal within the final 24 hours. To avoid a trial renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Manage or cancel through iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → OurWay. See Apple’s cancellation instructions. Use “Restore purchases” in the paywall to restore an eligible purchase, using the Apple Account associated with it and the appropriate OurWay account. Contact support if access is not restored.

Deleting OurWay or your OurWay account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it separately with Apple. Cancellation normally ends future renewal, while access follows the expiration date provided by Apple; trial access may end earlier according to Apple’s terms. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled through Apple’s refund service, subject to applicable consumer rights. Paid access ending does not by itself erase shared content, but premium actions may become unavailable.

12. Updates and contact

Changes to these terms will be posted here with an updated date. Additional notice or agreement will be provided where the law requires it. For questions, a complaint, privacy requests or help with your account, contact Artem Lavrentiev at support@our-way.app.
